Art Flowers and Music

Today I had a wonderful time and met very nice people at the Art Reception at Gallery 33 at Comisky's Green House in Hightstown.
What a wonderful place with beautiful flowers and artwork from local artisans.
If you leave in NJ and have never been there you should definitely check it out.
There are lots of interesting things for everyone.
You can find beautiful flowers, fountains, garden decor, hand painted silk scarfs, pottery, honey coffee and lots more.

Knitting fun

Lately I have been obsessed with yarn. I have discovered Noro Yarn in our local store in Princeton  Pins and Needles  about a year ago and since then I have been knitting a lot.
Today I wore my first dress that I just finished. I have never thought that I would ever be able to knit myself a dress.
It felt so nice and soft and warm and I got so many compliments on my dress.
I really love hand made items. And since I was a child my mother always made clothes for me and I developed love for hand made clothes and toys from my early childhood..
When I go shopping for clothes I want to find something special and I often come home with nothing.
Then I found out about this wonderful community of people on ravelry where there are so many talented artists. I fell in love with Steven West patterns but I was afraid to start a big project since I did not know how to read the patterns, so I taught myself how to read the pattern. Nowadays with youtube it is so easy.
Let me share with you with what I have made.

I wanted to say a few words about our trip with my mother to Lambertville.
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we came to this little town to the Art Opening reception that was held in a beautiful art Gallery on 8 Church Street called River Queen Artisans.

The owners of the gallery Jane and her husband Edward did a great job putting the show together. There are many wonderful pieces of work from various local artists.
I recommend to stop by and check it out if you are in the area. I am sure you will find something you might like.

Here are few pictures from the reception

As every mother I am very happy to be around my children. My older daughter is very independent and enjoys her own space . My son is with me almost all the time. I am so much in love with him.
Everyday he comes up with new ideas.
My morning starts with a big smile from Max and a big kiss. He says Mommy I love you! I love you so much!  Let me check what time it is. Its 7 45 time to wake up , we have lots of things to do.
The highlight of our day is the time when we paint.
Painting is his favorite activities, toys don't interest him so much.
Letters and Numbers, counting and reading 3 letter words.
My baby is going to be 3 next month and I am looking at the baby pictures and think to myself where did the time go?
So today I am going to share some more of our artistic activities.

Winter days

It's winter. That means it's cold. I am not loving cold weather much that is why I tend to spend most of the time in my warm and cosy studio.
When you have little children its hard as they have to be constantly entertained.
Here is an idea how can keep them busy and happy.
I am so grateful to my little son that loves Art as much as I do.
That is what we do to make sure we are not bored.

Cold winter months are over. Spring is here. I was really busy and completely forgot about my blog.
Today I thought I would write a little update about what I have been up to.
February was a very busy and good month.
I had two art shows and was able to show and sell my new artwork.
I was  participating in a fund raising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters with Jacqui Alexander, we had a one day art show in Lambertville NJ.

Another very nice event was Art Jam organized by Home Front, 50% of the sales would go to Home Front.
It was a beautifully organized Pop Up Art Gallery  in the heart of Princeton. I was very honored to be a part of this wonderful event.
